DAY 1 - ARRIVAL DAY
PRE ARRIVAL: Planning on arriving early? Why not set your destination for Happisburgh to visit the iconic red & white Lighthouse, Tide and Time Bell, stretch your legs, and let the dogs run on the sandy beach. There is a play area for the kids and a toilet block. After blowing the cobwebs away and destressing from the drive, jump back in the car for a short 7-minute journey to our lovely cottages.

ARRIVAL (FROM 16:00): Check-in, get unpacked, and settle in. Enjoy the night unwinding with a cheeky takeaway from Kingfishers Fish and Chip - You can pre-order here, so there are no queues or waiting times.

DAY 2 - SATURDAY
MORNING: Morning zoomies in our dog paddock before heading out for breakfast.
Brunch: Still waiting for your food shop? Why not head out to Watsons for breakfast, It is dog-friendly inside and out and is one of our favourites. Then head back to the cottage and put away your shopping.

AFTERNOON: Keen to explore? Why not check out one of our favourite villages; Sea Palling? Why? Well, not only does Sandyhills Amusements do the most delicious donuts, but they are dog-friendly. The sandy beach is beautiful and dog-friendly year round* You also have The Lifeboat Tavern, Beach Rock Bistro or The Mermaids Catch to enjoy too.
*From April to October you need to turn right at the bottom of the ramp

DAY 3 - SUNDAY
MORNING: If you managed to get up early enough, why not head to Cart Gap beach – only a 7-minute drive. If you time it right, you may get to see RNLI Happisburgh carrying out their training exercises.

BRUNCH: Don’t forget to pop into Smallsticks for a hearty breakfast, it is dog-friendly outside and in the beach huts. After breakfast why don’t you have a leisurely walk on the dog-friendly beach.

AFTERNOON: The perfect Sunday roast? The Star Inn, has it all. Within 2 miles from the cottage AND dog-friendly, you can’t go wrong. Pre-booking is essential, and if you are up for a walk, a combination of roads and farmers' fields, will get you there. Check out our walk HERE.

DAY 4 - MONDAY
MORNING: Has the Norfolk Sea air made you tired yet or is it my itinerary? One of our must-visits any time of the year is the Grey Seals at Horsey Beach (best viewed between Nov-Jan – but with a short walk, can be seen all year) Please keep dogs on the leads during your visit.

LUNCH: Did you work up an appetite? Opposite the car park entrance, there is the fabulous Poppylands, a dog-friendly, immersive, WW2-themed tearoom which is highly recommended.

AFTERNOON: On the way back, you could pop in and grab some more of those delicious donuts from Sea Palling before heading back to the cottages to rest for the remainder of the day.

DAY 5 - TUESDAY
MORNING: After running the dogs in our dog paddock, we thought you would enjoy a nice brunch at Dunes Cafe which is dog-friendly inside and out, maybe pop your head into the gorgeous barn next door (if it is open) before heading on over to Winterton-on-Sea.

AFTER BREAKFAST: Winterton is beautiful for a lovely afternoon walking on the beach and through the quaint village. Pop into The Fishermans return for a swift one, before heading home via Hirsts Farm Shop - Dabs and Crabs to grab some local seafood delights to eat back at the cottage.

DAY 6 - WEDNESDAY
MORNING: I always find mid-week is the perfect day for a day trip out. Let the dogs have a run in the paddock before heading off to Cromer for the day. There are so many dog-friendly places to visit, including the pier and almost every restaurant is dog-friendly. The beach is beautiful – although there are restrictions from April to October, the town and promenade welcome dogs on leads and the beach further down welcomes them too.

DINNER: A must-stop on the way home for dinner is the Gunton Arms - on 100-acre deer estate and dog friendly.

DAY 7 - THURSDAY
FROM 10AM: Today's itinerary won’t take you too far; the town of North Walsham. They have a small market in the center on Thursdays 10-3pm with food, crafts, and flowers, so if you like a market. visit here today.

BRUNCH: We also highly recommend popping into Shambles who do a lovely breakfast and a delicious lunch to suit all tastes, and it’s dog friendly.

AFTERNOON: Why not start heading back and stop off at Bacton Woods with lots of trails to follow and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the local wildlife.

DINNER: Finally your last stop brings you to Lighthouse Inn in Walcott which has recently been taken over but is still highly recommended for some good old-fashioned pub food.

DAY 8 - HOME TIME
MORNING: Your time has now come to an end, it is not goodbye, it is a see you soon, well we hope to anyway! Don’t forget to give the dogs a farewell run in the field before setting off on your journey home.
