The Government have had to take the unfortunate decision to place England in to
another lockdown. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel and once the top 4
priority groups are vaccinated, we hope to be able to reopen our doors fully. We will
keep this page updated as much as possible.
Once we are able to open:
At Oak Tree Cottages, we have always carried out a full clean on each cottage, taking
care to make sure we go the extra mile. We like to make sure our guests feel as safe and
comfortable as possible when they book to stay at our cottages and COVID-19 has not changed this. The health and well-being of our guests is a top priority and due to this we have implemented a few new procedures to ensure that our cottages are fully sanitised and disinfected. We have also been lucky enough to source some great new cleaning products that will help us thoroughly disinfect our cottages.
Due to this we will need a little extra changeover time, so please do respect our new arrival and departure times, which will be sent to you the week before your arrival to give us the chance to do all we need fully disinfect the cottage. If you do arrive early and we are still working, then please do respect our safety by staying out of the property until we have finished.
On our arrival emails, we will be asking if you would still like our normal welcome pack, would prefer to bring your own bed linen/pillows and any other preferences you may have. Please do respond to this. We completely understand that we have an obligation to keep everyone safe with our cleaning procedures, but we would also like for you to enjoy your holiday and will try to make it as "normal" as possible.
On your arrival to our cottages, our gates will remain closed, there will be a hand sanitiser station for you to use before and after opening the gate. There will also be an additional sanitation station by our communal field for use on entry and exit. In addition to this we will regularly wipe down the gate handles and doggy shower. In your cottages we will provide you with a bottle of antibacterial gel to use during your stay, although you may choose to bring your own. We will also provide a bottle of Dettol for you to use during your stay.
We will not be able to offer our grocery putting away service during changeover or take parcels for the time being so please only book deliveries for when you are going to be at the property.

Will I have to meet someone on arrival?
No - All our cottages have key safes. You will be emailed the code before your arrival. We will be disinfecting the door handles, keys, and key safes prior to your arrival.
What happens if something goes wrong in the property and we need a repair visit?
If this happens we will liaise with you to ensure that this is carried out while you are out of the
property and any touched areas wiped down afterwards. If you need to be there, we will
ensure that any third party visitors observe social distancing requirements.
